Raising your target amount can seem a little daunting, but with some planning and imagination it can be an enjoyable and rewarding part of the challenge.  In this section you'll see exactly what you need to raise and by when and find lots of information to help you achieve this, including information on setting up on online sponsorship page, putting on events and much much more...

Top five tips:

1. Start early and be organised.
2. Make the most of your contacts (family, friends, colleagues or people in your local community e.g. your child’s school, the local pub or other businesses).
3. Set up a JustGiving page and send the link to everyone. Fundraisers have had a lot of success in the past attaching a link and some information to their email signature.
4. Organise an event. You can raise a lot of money quickly this way as well as having an opportunity to raise awareness.
5. Publicise yourself and what you're trying to achieve. Your local media will be interested in your challenge- particularly if you're doing something quirky to raise the money.
